Ruben Dante

b. 1962

Ruben Dante started painting as a teenager and was inspired by her father Don Benzien. She lives in the seaside town of Hermanus where she is surrounded by the most picturesque scenery, beautiful mountains, vineyards and contrasting vegetation – great inspiration for an artist.

Ruben Dante is well known for her impressionist figurative style, her landscapes and street scenes. She paints portraits of South African faces, particularly women. She has enjoyed great success, both locally and internationally.
