Margaret Gradwell

b. 1956

Margaret Gradwell studied Fine Arts at the university of South Africa and was the head of Fine Arts at the University of South Africa for 30 years.

Margret is known for her dualistic landscapes and open still-lifes. She also integrates traditional three-dimensional African relief art with traditional Western easel painting.

Today Margret Gradwell is the curator of one of the largest private art collections in South Africa, at the Ellerman House in Bantry Bay, Cape Town.
