Kobus van Schalkwyk

Kobus finished his masters in anthropology before becoming an artist. He uses a builder’s trowel to create his artworks which range in subject from flowers to street scenes and seascapes.

He held his first solo exhibition at the Carlton hotel in 1983, and has since gone on to exhibit widely. He opened his first gallery in Florida Centre Johannesburg, and gives art lessons to aspiring artists.
