Adriaan Boshoff Senior

1935 – 2007

“I want to capture fleeting moments before they disappear forever.”

Adriaan Boshoff is often referred to as the ‘Renoir’ of South African art. This self-taught painter excelled at portraying landscapes, seascapes, and still life images using his distinct impressionistic style.
Boshoff is listed as one of the top 10 artists in South Africa. His works aim to capture passing moments of life, holding on to them in a painting. His technical ability and understanding of colour and harmony helped him achieve this goal.
His work has been exhibited to acclaim around the world and is collected by enthusiasts in America and New Zealand. His works are highly collectable and make a great investment.
Adriaan died in his studio while working on his final painting ‘The street of my youth’.
